[FAQ](https://knowledgebase.veracityvs.com/users-settings-navigation?hsLang=en#faq) # Can I give a guest access to the TMS? ## If you have an auditor, a temporary helper, or other guest partnering with your district and needing access to the data or functions in the TMS, you can manually create a Direct Login account for their temporary access. ### **Create a New User** ![User Management Creation](https://knowledgebase.veracityvs.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Interface%20Screenshots/User%20Management%20Creation.png?width=670&height=253&name=User%20Management%20Creation.png) 1. Click on the **Settings** wheel in the bottom left corner. 2. Click the **User Management card**. *Note: You must have the User Management permission for this card to be visible.* 3. Click **+ New User** in the top right corner. 4. Add a first name, last name, username, and password for the user. You may optionally add a title. 5. Assign the needed permissions by checking the desired boxes. The password you create for this user cannot be changed by them. They will use the exact username and password you created for the duration of their time accessing the TMS.   ### **How the Guest Logs In** This user will use your usual TMS URL. However, instead of choosing the **Go to My Google / Microsoft Login** button as SSO users do, they will choose the **Direct Login** button. The guest will enter the username and password you provided them and click the **Login** button. ![Screenshot 2025-09-18 163815](https://knowledgebase.veracityvs.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202025-09-18%20163815.png?width=670&height=239&name=Screenshot%202025-09-18%20163815.png) Because this user is not tied to an SSO account and its accompanying email address, guest users with manual accounts **will not** receive automated email reminders from our system for things like renewal timelines or workflow request submissions. They will receive in-app notifications only. ### **Concluding the User's Access** 1. Click on the **Settings** wheel in the bottom left corner. 2. Click the **User Management card**. *Note: You must have the User Management permission for this card to be visible.* 3. Click the pencil icon in this user's row. 4. Under the Status column, turn the toggle into the OFF (inactive) position. It will turn red. 5. Click the **Save** button.
