Duplicating a Workflow
Some workflows may serve as a baseline for a new template. Using the duplicate feature, TMS administrators can reuse entire existing workflows as a starting point for a new workflow.
The ability to duplicate a workflow is designed to allow TMS administrators to reuse content they have previously created to lessen the workload. Duplicated workflows are considered their own entity and any edits to the duplicate will not affect the original workflow.
Duplicating an Existing Workflow
- Using the administration button at the bottom of the left-hand navigator, open the Manage Workflows card.
- Open the Workflow that you desire to duplicate.
- Select the button at the top-right corner titled "Duplicate".
- On the confirmation screen, you will be prompted to enter a workflow name for the duplicate. This field must be filled out before the duplicate workflow can be created.
- Enter the desired name of the duplicate workflow.
- Click the duplicate button.
- You should see a confirmation screen. If you wish to go directly to the duplicated workflow, please select the button titled "Go to Duplicate Workflow".
All duplicated workflows will be created in an unpublished state. You must publish the workflow using the publish button at the top of the page in order to make it available to your staff.
You may edit this new workflow to your desire. Any changes made to this workflow will NOT affect the workflow it was duplicated from.
