Bulk Assigning Filters to Products

Users who can edit the product profiles have the ability to assign filters, assisting others in finding products through targeted searches. Filters can be managed in bulk, providing a way to quickly mark like products with the same filters. 

To optimize the setup of your product catalog, users with the Manage Bulk Assign and Manage Products permissions can efficiently apply and/or remove filters to all products within the organization in bulk. 

Accessing Bulk Assign Filters

Using the left-hand navigator, go to Administration. 

Open the card titled Bulk Assignment.

Select the card titled Filters.

Please note that if you only have Manage Products and Manage Bulk Assign, and do not have Manage Approval Status, you will be taken immediately to the screen below.

Manage Filters in Bulk

When you enter the Bulk Assign Filters page, you will see an overview of all filters in your organization, as well as the number of products that given filter is associated to in the system. 

To begin assignment, go to the button at the top right-hand corner titled Select Products.

  1. Choose the products you would like to manage the filters for using the checkboxes beside the rows.
  2. When you have finished selecting the products, click the orange button titled Select Filters.
  3. Choose the filters you would like to assign or remove from these products using the left-hand filter stack. Please note the instructions in blue under the header. Bulk Assign Filters - Select Filters
  4. When you have at least one filter selected, the Selected Filters container will begin to populate with your choices.
  5. After you have finished selecting the filters, you can choose to assign or remove using the buttons in the top right-hand corner.
  6. To apply your chosen filters to the selected products, click the Apply Filters button.
  7. Confirm your selection after reviewing the message on the screen by selecting the Assign Filters button.
  8. When Assignment Success has been confirmed, you may choose to continue bulk assigning filters or go back to the main page. 
  9. To remove your chosen filters from the selected products, click the Remove Filters button.
  10. Confirm removal after reviewing the message on the screen by selecting the Remove Filters button.
  11. When removal has been confirmed, you may choose to continue bulk assigning filters or go back to the main page.

Please note that if you are attempting to assign or remove filters from an extensive number of products, you will see a processing screen. This is an indicator that the assignment or removal is working, but may take a few more moments.
