Assigning a Resource to Multiple Products

Use the Multi-Product Assignment feature in order to create a linked copy of a resource under additional products.

Resources Refresher

You can find Resources under each product. These editable resource sections can contain content, such as support contacts, user tutorials, links to resource databases, video tutorials, and more.

Duplicate Resource vs. Multi-Product Assignment

When editing a Resource, you will see both the Duplicate Resource and Multi-Product Assignment buttons. While they both allow you to copy the Resource from one product to another, it's important to know how these work differently.

Duplicate and MPA Buttons-1

  • Duplicate Resource creates an independent, unlinked copy. You can create a copy, update information on the copy, and the original will remain unchanged. You can learn more about Duplicate Resource here.
  • Multi-Product Assignment creates a linked "copy." If you edit the copied Resource, it will also update the original Resource. This is a two-way link, so whether the original or the copied Resource is updated, it will update in both places.
