Why is a staff member missing from User Management?
Your user list in the TMS is populated via your SSO group mapping and is synced nightly. Learn to troubleshoot the mapping and syncing to pull in missing staff.
How User Management is Populated
Your User Management list is populated by the members in the SSO groups that you bring into the TMS. When you map an SSO group, the members of that group then show up in User Management. These changes run via a nightly sync. You can learn more about how to complete these tasks below.
If your district uses SSO login, you should not create manual accounts using the + New User button. This button should only be used by districts who manually create accounts for all users.
About the Culprit: SSO Group Membership
If a staff member is missing from your TMS, it is because they are missing group membership in your SSO platform. For example, if you have mapped an "All Teachers" group in the TMS but a teacher cannot access the TMS and is not listed in User Management, it is likely that the teacher is not in the "All Teachers" group in your SSO platform.
How to Fix It
Veracity does not have the ability to edit your SSO user groups. In order to fix this issue, you must ensure proper group enrollment in your SSO platform. Whether you use rules and automation or you manually enroll staff in groups, you will need to perform this task. Once completed and once a nightly sync has occurred, you should see this staff member appear.
If you have adjusted group enrollment in your SSO and waited for an overnight sync to occur and the staff member is still not showing in User Management, please contact your Customer Success Manager or submit a ticket via our Customer Portal.
If a staff member was enrolled in the TMS and was synced out due to group unmapping, SSO account suspension, or other reasons, please note that they will need to be reassigned permissions via User Management if they are added back in.
